Acupuncture in Barrie

acupuncture needles in shoulderAt Integrated Health Connections, acupuncture may be included as an adjunctive treatment within a chiropractic or massage therapy care plan when appropriate. Dr. Sarah Racicot, a chiropractor, and Patrick O’Brien, a registered massage therapist, have completed training in acupuncture through the McMaster University Medical Acupuncture Program.

Acupuncture involves the placement of fine needles at selected points following an assessment and discussion of your care options.

What to Expect

Sterile, single-use needles that are much finer than the needles used for injections or blood tests are used. You may feel a brief prick when a needle is inserted; sensations vary from person to person. Your practitioner will let you know what to expect during and after your visit.

Is Acupuncture Right for you?

Acupuncture may be considered for certain pain and movement concerns involving muscles and joints. Whether it is suitable for you depends on your assessment, health history and care goals. Your practitioner will discuss the available options with you.
